How can I verify if this is working? I'm using this link in my Cisco ASA. Is my hostname correct? I defined the IP Update password in my control panel and I'm using the sha256 hash of the password that I set.

https://api.dynu.com/nic/update?hostname=kittymao.net.dynu.com&password=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

kittymao.net.dynu.com does not look like a valid hostname. Shouldn't hostnames be like myname.dynu.com?

That's what I was confused on. The example on the dynu website is pretty vague. I have my domain registered elsewhere and pointing to dynu for nameservers. I was confused because I think some people can actually register a xxxx.dynu.com name, right? All I have in the control panel are A records.

If you are using your own domain name, the hostname should be just youdomain.com. I assume it is kittymao.net.

Some people use free third level hostnames provided by Dynu such as sth.dynu.net.
