Topic: How to use Location or Group on Synology
Hello,
I want to use DDNS on two Synology servers that I run in two different locations. However a single iP address get updates to both Hostnames.
I managed to set up two locations (or nowadays groups, which is by the way not to be found in the control panel but only by finding a direct link??).
When I setup a group I cant seems to get things to work at all with my NAS.
There is no input field at my NAS for group so I tried trying different hostnames? Hostname: mynas.freeddns.org or Hostname: group_name ? Both don't seem to work.
this is what I used to setup my NAS

Issue is solved..
In Synology I had not copied the complete Query URL (forgot the second line).
After correcting and using two groups all worked!
Query URL: https://api.dynu.com/nic/update?hostname=__HOSTNAME__&username=__USERNAME__&myip=__MYIP__&password=__PASSWORD__
